Colin Bennett trained at RADA and was for many years a successful actor... the highlights of his career included...
- Mr Bennett, the comedy caretaker for the great TV Artist, Tony Hart, in Hart Beat and Take Hart.
- Vince Purity the host of the most hated quiz/talent show on the BBC, You Should Be So Lucky.
- Zarquon, in The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy.
He was well known in, Yellow pages as the father, in the attic, with the train set, and his other famous father finding a pregancy testing kit,.... There may be Trouble Ahead.
- Seth Neddermyer was the part he played in Oppenhiemer.
- He appeared in the BBC series The Songwriters, the history of some of the greats.
Most of his early career was in the theatre, with hundreds of credits but his most notable role being in the original West End Production of Chicago in 1980!
He then turned to writing... Handcock's Finest Hour toured the UK and then went into the West End. He adapted The Point, for Harry Nillson and Treasure Island for The Mermaid.
His television writing includes... Tricky Business, Captain Zep, You Should Be So Lucky and with his co-writer, Colin Prockter, Luna featuring Patsy Kensit.
He has just finished co-writing a musical called Silent Star with Michael Heath which in pre-production for a National Tour.
